TEMPLE COMMUNITY CLINIC
Temple Community Clinic has a simple goal: to be a focal point of compassion and caring in their community. For over three decades, they have remained committed to their mission to provide quality medical services and health education. The new clinic features 7 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, a central location for staff with skylights above, offices for medical staff, social work, mental health, private consultation rooms, conference room, breakroom, lab, medical supplies, and other clinic necessities. This new site location gives the ability to have an attached community space with views of a private outdoor area that can be separated from the clinic and divided into two separate event spaces with a kitchen and pre-function area adjacent. These programs will allow the clinic to host larger educational events, live cooking demonstrations, and simultaneous activities in the community room if needed. The layout has been designed such that the Community Area can be closed off from the clinic side and separately controlled mechanical system for energy savings when not in use. Client input is important, and every design decision was directed by keeping the patient and staff’s needs in mind. The design priorities the patient’s comfort and aims to make the clinic approachable and welcoming.
The building design consists of a masonry stone base with stucco above on metal stud framing with entrances and building features highlighted with a modern farmhouse style board and batten style of cement board and wood truss accents. The building combines design with efficiency in a thoughtful layout and building systems integration.
